Grandparent’s day combined with Christmas celebration was hosted
by Shri Datta Vidya Mandir on 24th of December. It was a fun filled
celebration with three generation enjoying the program and dancing
to the tunes of drums and percussion instruments. The selection of
best grandparent was based on a lot of activities performed by
grandparents. Singing of bhajans, songs, reciting of shlokas from
Ramayana and other religious scriptures with their grandchildren
identifying heroes and heroine from old numbers were the whole lot
of activities which the audience enjoyed thoroughly. The nativity play
performed by the students also showcased their theatrical skills. The
Chief guests and other guests present were the Chairperson Mrs.
Pratibha Mahant ma’am and Administrative officer Mrs. Anita
Tagade ma’am, joined by the CBSE principal Mrs. Vineeta Singh and
State principal Mr. Swapnil Nimbalkar. A lot of Christmas presents
and gifts were distributed among the children.
